Destination Marketing was established in 2003 by Tom Pelizzaro and Dick
Burkemper. Through their management experience with premiere Tour Operators in
the U.S., Tom & Dick have full
understanding of the needs of tour operators.
Smaller can be better - and small ship cruising has long been an area of keen
interest (and considerable experience) for Dick and Tom. This is evident in
IDM's product portfolio; which contains high quality, small ship cruise
products, and comparable hotel properties and services, from the Galapagos
Islands to the rivers of Europe and Russia.
With over 40 years combined experience, IDM partners have identified a need
among Foreign Tour Suppliers. Many suppliers have decidedly superior product to
offer, yet lack a U.S.-based partner to position their product in the
ever-changing North American marketplace. IDM strives to represent these
Foreign Tour Suppliers to North American Tour Operators. We understand that all
Tour Operators have their own unique profile. Whether they are charter, group,
F.I.T, or a combination of all three, IDM understands their needs. It is this
insight which allows IDM to excel at providing a distinct benefit to both the
Foreign Tour Supplier and the Tour Operator.
